Lambert’s varsity girls tennis team is advancing to the state quartertinals after defeating Johns Creek 3-1 in the second round of the postseason Wednesday at home.

“Johns Creek has a very strong program and the matches were extremely close, but we were able to come out on top,”
Lambert coach Ali Conley wrote in an e-mail. “I am very proud of how well all of the girls played. They really stepped it up and gave it their all. Everyone could not be more thrilled to be advancing to the quarterfinals.”

The Lady ‘Horns got wins from Karlee Bryde at No. 1 singles (1-6, 6-3, 6-4), Kealee Heffner at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-0), and Kate Trinkle and Lauren Ewers (6-3, 7-6, 7-3) at No. 2 doubles.
