West Forsyth’s girls tennis team completed its regular season with a 5-0 win over Pinecrest Academy on Thursday during senior night at Fowler Park.
The Lady Wolverines finished the season 10-5 and took fourth place in Region 6-AAAAA. West will play the top seed from Region 5-AAAAA in the first round of the state tournament which must be played before April 27.
Singles victories came from Madi Umbaugh, Emma Niemi and Megan Aligheri. Doubles wins came from the teams of Sydney Niemi and Haley Anderson and Meg Moran and Ashley Evans.
After the match against Pinecrest, West honored Niemi and Miller for their four years on the team.
Niemi finished her varsity career with a record of 47-22 and Miller finished 33-21.
