Longhorns dominate at East Hall

The Lambert boys and girls tennis teams pulled out dominant 5-0 victories on the road against East Hall Monday.

Kyle Chrzanowski (6-0, 6-1), Sam Schilling (6-0, 6-1) and Ben Bassel (6-0, 6-0) all earned singles wins for the ‘Horns, while the doubles teams of Austin McCormick and Matt Owen  (6-0, 6-1), and Nick Alesia and Andy Smith (6-0, 6-0) also picked up victories.

On the girls’ side, Karlee Bryde (6-0, 6-0), Sydney Topper (6-0, 6-0) and Lauren Ewers (6-0, 6-0) notched singles victories, while Taylor Lefton and Morgan Adams (6-0, 6-0), and Kate Trinkle and Mackenzie Bodin (6-0, 6-0) won doubles matches.

The squads from West Forsyth earned victories over North Forsyth Friday. 

The Wolverine boys took all five matches, gettings wins from Jose Quiceno, Austin Todd and Ian Nadasdy in singles, and from the doubles teams of Jamie Bone and Taylor Evans, and Ben Holloway and Conner Cameron. 

The girls team won 4-1, with singles wins coming from Madison Umbaugh and Megan Aligheri, and doubles victories from Sydney Niemi and Taylor Hensley, and Amanda Conklin and Savannah Miller.

Jenna Brunner lost in three sets to Allie Robins at one singles (2-6, 6-0, 6-2).

The Raider teams were also defeated by Norcross Monday. Robbins picked up the lone victory for North.

The girls from Pinecrest Academy defeated George Walton Academy 3-2 on Monday.

Sarah Rocko and Irene Garcia earned singles wins for the Lady Paladins, while Erica Papa and Audrey Herd picked up a victory in doubles competition.
