NORCROSS — Lambert’s girls lacrosse team (2-3) couldn’t dig out of an early deficit and fell to Wesleyan, 17-8, on March 8. The Longhorns found themselves down 5-0 just five minutes into the first half. The team regrouped after a timeout and played stronger for the final 45 minutes of the contest, but it wasn’t enough to challenge the Wolves.

“We started out too tentative and that put us in a big hole,” said Lambert coach Aaron Daniels. “However, after the early timeout, we played much better and the girls never gave up.”

Emma Harrison led the Lambert attack with four goals, while Morgan Shumate added three goals, and Chandler Menendes scored one goal.
