It was a tight finish, but West Forsyth’s girls pulled out a one-stroke win on the links Wednesday, topping North Forsyth and South Forsyth in 9 holes at Laurel Springs Golf Club in Suwanee.
West’s Margaret Yeh and Emily Allison combined for a score of 94, one stroke ahead of North Forsyth. South shot 114 for the match.
North’s Hannah Earle was the low scorer, carding a 41.
West coach Jen Hawkins credited Allison’s consistent effort for helping the West team edge its rivals. Allison was the No. 2 scorer for her team.
“Making par on hole 5 boosted [Allison’s] confidence going further into the 9. Both West girls played solid golf,” the coach said.
