Agree, new QBs’ are great athletes better suited for a run option/ play action offense with Emert & Shirley leading the charge. West’s passing offences packages require a Lance caliber QB. Passing offence will be a drive killer all year if West sticks to it as part of their normal game plan. I’m not a coach but would only use pass offence in 2 last minutes of half /game. North ran all over West with a run option/ play action offense and I believe West could be even better putting the game plan on the strength of each player’s ability. Team will experience more success and QB can get better with experience and by senior year could potentially manage the passing packages as their designed.

Wolverine fans: remove the 2 big gain plays from Hester and Vicary and those boys gained 60 and 20 yards respectively. Slaton had 51 yds and no TDs. Look for the O line to improve and watch for Emert, Lott, Cloud, and Shirley get their yards.
Who knows, we might even see a scoreboard that works and a sound system that everyone can hear!

I agree with the last comment - West Forsyth has a good team and they will show what they are worth. I ran into a North Forsyth boy after the game and he was very polite to me and said only that this was a long time coming - the win for NF. I told him his team did a great job..
